Registers Opened for Classes Beginning 28th/29th of August!
We have now opened up our registers for the new blocks due begin at Cameron Toll (Saturday - 28th of Aug), Musselburgh and Corstorphine (Both Sunday 29th of August).
Each block runs for 13 weeks and during these we learn by playing fantastic football games, practising our colour, words and number recognition.
SOCATOTS is a great fun way to learn football and other social skills and from what I have seen from this block, I am confident Scotland will be close to winning the world cup in 2024!!

Footballing tots meet Scotland Star Scott Brown!
|
|
Scott Brown the Celtic and Scotland player who signed from Hibs for £4.5 million visited Socatots a scheme that teaches football skills to toddlers! SOCATOTS is an innovative football programme for under 5’s. It is the brainchild of the International Confederation of Futebol de Salão (ICFDS) and Simon Clifford, responsible for bringing the Brazilian style of football coaching to this country with more than 600 schools across the UK which have been endorsed by football legends such as Socrates and Careca former Brazilian World Cup Stars who sees the benefits in the Socatots and Brazilian Soccer School training methods.
Scott heard about Socatots through his partner’s brother Darren Taylor. Darren and his child Callum have been coming to Socatots since Callum was 1.5 years old when he started. He turns 4 in April. Darren says “ Callum loves coming to Socatots he was ball mad from a young age and we thought this would be a great way to get him involved in a pre school class where mums and dads can take part and help children learn football skills. It can only help them in the future by improving their co-ordination and encouraging physical activity at a young age.”
Scott was intrigued when he heard Callum took part in the classes so much so that he came along one of the weeks to take part along with Callum. Scott said “ I had seen some of the things Callum was learning in the class, he could kick the ball with the outside of the football, dribble the ball, head it really well for such a young child so I was really keen to take part in the class and see what Socatots is all about. The session I went to was great the coach was really enthusiastic and the sessions were fun and all the kids looked like they were having a good time.
Socatots has been running in the Edinburgh for over three years and the regional Co-ordinator is Bryan Robertson who is an SFA certificated football coach who has worked for Hearts FC in the Community, Brazilian Soccer Schools and with other organisations/ schools and boys clubs. Bryan has been a coach for over ten years, “It’s great that Scott and Darren thinks highly of our programme and can see the improvement Callum has made over his time in Socatots.
