XSocatots-About-Us-Title

SOCATOTS® is the world's first soccer specific physical play programme for children from six months to five years of age. Aimed at giving children their very first start with the ball. It has been developed by Simon Clifford, the man responsible for launching 100 SOCATOTS® centres across the globe, in the last six months.

The SOCATOTS® sessions feature parental participation, whereby the emphasis remains largely on fun and structured play throughout all ages.

All SOCATOTS® equipment is specially designed for children to develop physical skills of agility, balance and coordination. From skittles, hoops and bean bags to balance boards and balls specially designed by Mitre. Each activity is intended to improve motor skills, but more importantly they are designed to be fun.

SOCATOTS® sessions are lead by staff who have undergone frequent SOCATOTS® training courses. The course syllabus features theory and background behind the SOCATOTS® philosophy, core skills and drills for all three above Phases, exercises using specially designed equipment, lesson plans, class conditions and staff requirements. All SOCATOTS® coordinators will have undergone Child Protection, Health and Safety, First Aid Qualifications and will have successfully completed the CRB's enhanced disclosure check.

PHASE 1 - 6 Months to Walking
These sessions will concentrate on the child's lower limbs, helping them to develop flexibility in their feet and ankles. Sessions will also focus on helping children to walk and move, using appropriate exercises and activities.

PHASE 2 - Walking to 2.5 Years
This class is designed for children who can walk confidently. With parental participation, children will start to learn footballing basics such as kicking and passing, turning and juggling.

PHASE 3 - 2.5 Years to 5 Years
Phase Three introduces the child to control of the ball with all body parts, a variation of passes, dribbling movements and much more. SOCATOTS® children will be the most able footballers of their age in the history of the game.
