| We are currently looking to recruit people to run Socatots sessions in the Bath and North East Somerset area. What is Socatots? SOCATOTS® is the world's first soccer specific physical play programme for children from six months to five years of age. Aimed at giving children their very first start with the ball. Socatots provides a challenging environment for children of different ages and stages of development through structured play, with specifically designed footballs, equipment, music, action, songs and rhymes.
Do I need to have any knowledge of football? Some basic knowledge would be helpful but by no means essential. The majority of people that run our sessions are not necessarily footballers themselves but tend to have an interest in sport in general. The SOCATOTS® sessions feature parental participation, whereby the emphasis remains largely on fun and structured play throughout all ages. All SOCATOTS® equipment is specially designed for children to develop physical skills of agility, balance and coordination, football is just the medium. Do I need to have formal childcare experience? No. You must of course love working with children and have a real aptitude for it but no formal qualifications are required. What other requirements for the job are there? As we are going to have a number of locations for sessions you must be able to drive and have your own car. You will also have to undergo a CRB police check and have or agree to undergo a first aid qualification. Someone who is organised, has the ability to motivate people, is patient and has a great sense of fun is an ideal candidate.
What will I be expected to do? Following training you will be running socatots sessions independently, initially with session plans provided. This will include coaching of children from 6 months- 5 years with parent participation, in any of the 3 age specific phases. You will also be responsible for class administration, including keeping registers up to date, issuing registration documentation, taking payment if required and issuing receipts to customers What are the benefits for me? You will receive an extremely competitive rate of pay and ongoing support and encouragement. We as a company are also very flexible and very supportive of other commitments you may have. It may be relevant to your course and a positive addition to your CV. You will also get to experience being part of one of the fastest growing companies in the UK as we expand. Interested?
